Today the Shepherd Middle School JROTC had the great opportunity to serve the community and the Houston area. The cadets presented the colors at the Battleground Golf Course in Deer Park in honor of Veterans Day. The cadets also presented the colors for Shepherd Intermediate School Veterans Day program and presented the colors for the Shepherd city council meeting.






The Red Ribbon door decorating contest winner was Mrs. Rhoden.

One point perspective ceiling tiles going up in Room 301!






Mrs. Richardson’s Adv Reading classes are making considerable progress on their new PBL’s. Students are identifying issues in rural towns and creating an informational multimedia presentation to discuss the issue and their solution.




The next round of ceiling tiles is going up in the art room at SMS! This week's assignment challenges students to experiment with contrasting warm and cool colors. Stay tuned as Room 301 continues to transform into a dynamic, lively space, filled with the incredible talent of these young artists!

Mrs. Atwood's class is diving into the exciting world of genotypes and phenotypes as they work to design pumpkins with unique genetic traits!




Ms. Whitehead's EI3 class implemented and explored new techniques that were introduced in last week's Lead4ward training to enhance writing skills.




Pirates for Christ gathered today to share an inspiring message about overcoming anxieties and protecting our thoughts. It was a wonderful opportunity for reflection and encouragement.




Today in Mrs. Berry's 6th grade ELAR class, we're excited to have a student-led session where one of our remarkable students is guiding both classmates and teachers on overcoming challenges to successfully complete an assignment.

Monday marked the exciting start of our campfire stories week in the Middle School library! Mrs. Berrys' 6th grade classes explored myths, legends, and urban legends before diving into some spine-chilling scary stories. With the arrival of fall, the library is filled with even more fun and adventure!







Congratulations to Cadet Corporal Mariana Pena on being selected as the cadet of the week. Mariana serves as a member of the Color Guard and works hard to support the community.


Mrs. Francisco's Cupcake Club met today, where students were introduced to three delightful cupcake designs. They had the opportunity to create two out of the three, and the results were fantastic! Everyone did an amazing job, and their cupcakes turned out beautifully.
