Shepherd ISD continues to monitor COVID-19 positive cases within our district.

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated COVID isolation guidelines.
Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) COVID isolation guidelines.
Please contact your campus clinic if your child (or school staff) has tested positive for COVID-19. Clinic staff can let you know what the earliest return to campus date will be.
- The following guidelines for return to campus are in effect at this time:
- SISD Staff and Students who test positive for COVID-19 are required to isolate/be off campus
- for 5 days following the onset of symptoms*
- AND fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever suppressing medications; fever is considered 100°F or higher)
- AND other symptoms have improved.
*If there are no symptoms, stay home until at least 5 days after the day of testing.
*Day 0 is the day symptoms began or the day of the positive viral test (if no COVID-19 symptoms).
If your child is required to stay home, please contact your child’s teacher(s) to request assignments that they might be able to work on while at home if they feel well enough to do so.
