COVID-19 Updates
Outlined below are the current guidelines, along with specific criteria for symptoms and the required isolation period:
1. Symptom Criteria: Parents must monitor students about about COVID-19 symptoms. If your student experiences any two of the following symptoms, please follow isolation period below:
- Fever (100.4°F/38°C or higher)
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
2. Isolation Period: If you develop any of these symptoms, we ask that you immediately seek COVID testing. Testing can be completed with your primary care doctor, at local testing locations, or home testing kits. If you test positive, you must isolate until the following criteria are met:
-five days have passed since the onset of symptoms
-24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication
-symptoms have improved
3. Communication: Prompt and transparent communication is essential. If you test positive for COVID-19, please notify the school and school nursing staff immediately. School nursing staff will confirm your return date from quarantine.
