School Board Meeting

There will be a meeting of the Shepherd ISD School Board Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be virtual and the public may access this meeting online. Click the headline above for more information.

Pre-K on My Way

In the 2021-2022 school year Shepherd ISD, along with schools all over Texas, will be adopting new curriculum for our Pre-Kindergarten. We have chosen Scholastic Pre-K on My Way as our new curriculum. This program has amazing resources for teachers and students! If you would like to view the new materials, they are set up at Shepherd Primary School in the front foyer. Please stop by and check it out!

Recent Mask Order- Community Survey

As you are aware, Governor Abbott has rescinded the mandatory mask order in Texas. As of this moment, TEA and alike Agencies have responded with, "More information is forthcoming." In the meantime, I would like to hear from you. If you are able and feel compelled, please fill out the one-question survey about your opinion of this matter and how it relates to our school district. We have a board meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 6:00 PM. This item will be a discussion item on the agenda. Your opinion is appreciated.

Shepherd ISD Adopted Tax Rate

SHEPHERD ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.


THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.9 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $58.99.
