Parents please be advised any student that has 3 or more unexcused absences for all or part days in a 4 week period, or 10 or more unexcused absences for all or part days in a 6 month period the parent and student may be subject to a fine. Please see the following sections of the compulsory attendance laws listed below.

Texas Education Code

Section 25.093, the parent is subject to prosecution.

Section 25.094, the student is subject to prosecution.

Section 25.085, a child who is in pre-kindergarten through their 18th birthday shall be required to attend school each day for the entire period the program of instruction is provided.
