Susan Bailes

Board President

Susan Bailes was elected to the Shepherd ISD Board of Trustees in 2003, and currently serves as the board secretary. She has been a resident of the school district since 1976. She, and her husband E.J., raised their three children in Shepherd public schools. Their oldest daughter, Kimberly, and husband Corbee, are graduates of Texas A&M and both teach school in the San Antonio area. Ernest, and wife Courtney, are also graduates of Texas A&M. Ernest is involved in bovine reproductive physiology and Courtney is the marketing director for the Conroe Chamber of Commerce. Their youngest daughter, Kari, will begin studies in Animal Science at Texas A&M in the fall of 2005. Together with her husband of 29 years, Mrs. Bailes is active in the family owned and operated cattle operation, a member of Shepherd First Baptist Church, a 4-H and FFA volunteer, and long-time supporter of the San Jacinto County Fair

I, Darryl W. Richardson, was born in Galveston, Texas in 1965 at John Sealy Hospital. I attended grade school in Galveston before moving to Shepherd in 1978. I then graduated from Shepherd High School in 1983 and attended Texas Southern University for 2 years. In December of 1985, I married Shelia Roberts Richardson. We now have two beautiful children, Justin and Whitnie. Justin is a graduating senior (2005) Whitnie is a freshman at Shepherd High School. In 1999, I was called to the Baptist Ministry of Lake Station Baptist Church. In my 5 years as a Shepherd ISD Board of Trustee, I have served three years as Trustee and two years as Vice President.
